The genealogy collection is composed of several segments: a vertical file of clippings, research correspondence, genealogies, articles, and copies of original genealogical sources pertaining to local families, 1850-1988; a card file of birth, marriage, and death information taken from local newspapers; transcripts of tombstone inscriptions from Sparta Cemetery and Dale Cemetery in Ossining, Bethel Cemetery in Croton, and others, 1907-1986; and genealogical records collected by Ada C. Haight on the Richard Washburn family.
